Welcome to selfship island! I've been selfshipping since I was about 10 years old (guess which f/o is from that era) but The Treehouse Selfship Renaissance of 2024 reignited my interest in it! Speaking of, you should totally check out my brother, Charlie's website :] We aren't blood related...yet.

F/Os

My main f/o! Mike and Gideon have a tumultuous relationship... They both think they're manipulating the other, and completely deny that they might be catching genuine feelings. Constantly breaking up and getting back together, but they can't live without each other, to the dismay of everyone who knows them. Especially Mike's best friend, Charlie. Gideon's also producing Mike's band, Reservations at Dorsia (tho tbh im thinking of changing the in-universe name to something else).

Anya Musume (Mouthwashing) Pyxishipping / romantic

Mike is Jimmy's navigation intern who ends up head over heels for the nurse who gives him his T shots. He makes a total fool of himself about it, which thankfully Anya finds cute and endearing. They exist in a no crash au! Though sometimes if I'm feeling angsty I might put them in canon... but overall, they're probably the sweetest out of all my selfships! Through the power of love Anya and Mike realize that they should absolutely quit their horrible shitty job and follow their dreams of medical school and music respectively.

Mike is a librarian in Falconclaw who maintained the largest archive dedicated to the Lady Irene in all of Ru'an. When Zane comes to sack the village, he finds the archive and decides to take Mike and his research with him to Okhasis and enlist his help in finding the Irene relic. Then they fall in love!

I KNOW. I KNOW THIS IS CRAZY. Just trust that they eventually end up in a semi-happy relationship man okay. Pretty canon to Bloomic, except Mike ends up quitting his shitty finance job and getting back with his ex. I call him Miles because saying SocietyBoy is crazy.

Me and every other autistic tboy in 2022. He's just so my type. In terms of in-universe, Mike works at a music store as well as the diner and is kind of a Riddler fanboy. They end up doing a classic "meet online and in real life but they don't know it's the same person" move which I definitely didn't write a mid riddlebat fanfic about in high school.

Mike went to the city for college while Mark didn't and stayed in the creek. Now Mike's back for summer break and he's COOL and in a PUNK band?? Mark totally isn't into that at all. Don't worry about it. The new bard NPC he keeps introducing into campaigns has nothing to do with Mike and it's actually so rude for you to ask. In reality, though, Mike isn't really a cool, suave guy with zero problems, he's terrified of growing up, and he misses being a kid and going to the Treehouse (where he got to see his best friend, Charlie, who he misses like a motherfucker). But at least he has the summer to rekindle old relationships (and maybe start a new one...?)

Mike is an American graduate student living temporarily in Japan, and is totally obsessed with MisaMisa! So, when he meets her manager-who seems to be pretty terrible at managing-at a bar, he immediately offers to work for him. Now he's an assistant to Misa and Matsuda, and the third member of their semi-romantic polycule, but has zero idea about the investigation going on right under his nose! Oops.

Matthew was actually the first character I was into, before Gideon. Shockingly. In the Mikegraves canon, Matthew is like a casual hookup that Mike goes to when he's broken up with Gideon. They're also just friends, given that they share similar music taste and an interest in theater. Matthew's one of the only league members that Mike actually likes.

Mike lives with Stephen and Neil, and him and Stephen are friends based on mutual interests (being in local bands). Also they make out sometimes for funsies. Honestly there's not a ton of lore for them I just think Stephen's really hot.

Mike is a bit of an older brother figure to Knives, though he's also just her friend. He always thought she was wayyy cooler than Scott, and so when they break up, Mike takes he under his wing to take her to cool concerts and help her find her style and stuff. Mike, Stephen, Knives and Matthew are a bit of a friend group, though Matthew's usually busy doing stuff with the League.

Other Self-Inserts

These ones aren't for selfshipping purposes (at least not primarily) I just like having self-inserts :)

Mike works at a music store alongside Sloan, and is generally a pretty big elitist asshole, not to mention a hypocrite. He makes a big deal about knowing a ton of niche, independent groups and looks down on those with what he considers "mainstream" tastes, but secretly, his favorite band is blink-182. He dreams of having a girlfriend, but can't talk to anybody to save his life. The one person he has a soft spot for is his best friend Charlie, who takes him to club meetings on occasion to keep him company and bitch about Bill. Mike isn't all bad, he's just...really, really insecure.

Mikey is a former hardcore frontman who now runs a music venue. He used to be in a band when he was younger, but now, in his middle age, he misses his "glory years." Still, he's happy to help the next generation of musicians, like Robbie, and tries to be a cool uncle figure for the young people of Gravity Falls. His shows are always all-ages, so that everyone can go. He's also really close with Charlie, often collaborating on events, since music and theater go perfect together :)
